The tradition I remember most from my childhood Easters (beside my Mom’s cooking, and the hours of play with my cousins) is THE EASTER BASKET. My Mom would carefully select a couple little things for each of us, and we would find our Easter baskets full of gifts before heading out to the egg hunt romp on my family’s property. I personally love the idea of gifting 2-3 thoughtful toys or crafts, rather than loads of candy - It means the excitement & fun of Easter will live on for weeks, rather than ending in a tummy ache.

So I while I was doing my shopping for my own boys Easter baskets this year, I did a little extra sleuthing for your kiddos too!

  1. Wood Plane FANTASTIC little Etsy Woodworking shop that specializes in toys! We own & have gifted many of these Cars & Planes, and we absolutely love the quality. Gorgeous toys.

  2. Wood Jeep Also from the same shop, these little jeeps are sssooo cute & classic.

  3. Wood sailing boat so sweet & very affordable!

  4. Four in a Row (Travel Size) love this for older kids! Perfect for throwing in the car to take with you.

  5. Train whistle (2) Great sibling gift - break the set up between baskets! I had one of these growing up, its not a shrill whistle so its easy on the ears. Great for outside play!

  6. Jacobs ladder great for age 3+, this toy helps practice dexterity & stacking skills, with all the pieces attached so they don’t get lost. Perfect for playing on the go!

I’m gifting these to my boys (thinking this will be a godsend on our 13hr flight in may!).

  7. Ice cream stand so stinking cute. perfect for playing “ice cream parlor”!

  8. Catch ball toy classic toy that works on hand to eye coordination.

  9. sugarfina tasting set a cute Easter themed collection of different flavor sweets - this is a great way to include a little sweet without going overboard. Sugarfina also goes out of their way to make their candy dye-free & gluten free.

  10. Classic poppers/crackers These are always huge fun, especially for the kids!

  11. wood toaster set A really well made wood kitchen item, at a great price! We bought this for our boys too.

  12. Adhesive butterflies such a sweet low-effort idea! Have your kids decorate your windows with these sweet butterflies.

  13. Guess how much I love you” board book This darling book is an Easter classic & perfect for toddler & baby!

  14. "All the places to love" storybook This one is so special to me. My mother used to read this to me before bed, and I read it to my younger siblings, and now to my own children.

A little boy recounts all the special places on his family's farm. Eli knows that no matter where the rest of his life takes him, all the places to love are right here, connected to the land & his family. MacLachlan's moving text is paired with stunning full-color illustrations that capture the simple beauty of farm life.

“Someday I might live in the city, someday I might live by the sea. But soon I will carry Sylvie on my shoulders through the fields.

All the places to love are here, I’ll tell her, no matter where you may live. Where else can an old turtle crossing the path, make all the difference in the world?”

Happy shopping & I hope you and your family have a beautiful Easter.
