The marbled Effect.
Marbled Paper - one of those finishing touches that makes things feel just a bit more lux.
Originally invented in Japan in the 9th century, marbled effect paper has continued to charm people from every part of the world, including the Middle East and Europe. My first exposure to marbled paper was in old leather-bound books - I opened those bindings to discover this visual treasure inside, alongside the literary gold. It was an experience that taught me to remember the small details make a difference. I never forgot that small memory, and would find interest piqued every time I caught a glimpse of that unique marbled paper.
I recently went shopping for marbled paper that coordinated with a drawing of mine for a framing backdrop. This drawing was in my art portfolio, trimmed down from a freshman year in HS art competition (why does that feel like centuries ago??) - so it was definitely going to be tricky to frame. Contrasting with this this tighter, more intricate background, allowed the drawing to sit comfortably inside the larger frame. Love the look/feel of this piece now! Linked what I used below, but also some other great choices.
